# Templates

## How To Install Template?

1. From our app, click **Library**
2. In the **Templates** tab,  select the category of templates.
3. Click **Install** the template you like.

### Option 1: Create a New Page

This feature is available for the following template types: '**Landing page'**,  '**About us**', '**Contact us**', '**FAQs**'.

1. In the **Template Name** field, enter a name for the template.
2. Click **Create Page** to add a new page.
3. In the **Page Title** field, enter a title for the page. Be descriptive and clear when choosing your page title.

If you don't want to create a new page, just enter the **Template Name** and click **Install**&#x20;

4. Click **Content Editor** to start with the theme editor.

### Option 2: Set as a Home Page

This feature is only available for template type "**Landing page**" and "**Home Page**"

1. In the **Template Name** field, enter a name for the template.
2. Click **As a Home Page** to set the page as a homepage.
3. Click **Install.**

After the installation, the homepage will have the same layout as the template you just set as the homepage.

### Option 3: Create a New Template

This feature is used for the following template types: '**Product page',  'Collection page', 'Home page', 'Blogs page'** and **'Blog posts page'**.

1. In the **Template Name** field, enter a name for the template.
2. Click **Install.**

## Assign Smind Template to Specific Product

* This feature only use for template types: **Product Page**, **Collection Page**.
* For the products you assign, they will have the same template as the product you set.
* This feature also works with **Collection Page**

1. From our app, click **My Library.**
2. In the **Templates** tab, click **Product.**
3. From the **Product** tab, select the template you want to assign to product.
4. Click **...** > **Assign.**

5. Click **Add Product.**

6. Select the product.

7. Click **Save.**

### Assign Template to Product Of Collection

Continue the instructions from Step 4 onward after the Assign step.

Step 5: Choose **Apply to Collections** then click **Add Collection**

Step 7: Click Save

Notice "**Assigned template successfully**!" mean you have apply this template to all product belong to this collection successfully&#x20;

## How To Set a New Template As a Default?

1. From our app, click **My Library.**
2. In the **Templates** tab, click **Blogs.**
3. From the **Blogs** tab, select the template you want to set it as a default.
4. Click **...** > **Set as default.**

## Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

### Q: Why can’t I find the templates in my Shopify store after installing it?

To make sure your templates appears correctly, check these two things:

1. **Activate SMI Theme Helper**

Go to your Shopify **Theme Settings** → **App embeds** and make sure **SMI Theme Helper** is turned ON. This helper enables the app to work properly inside your theme.

2. **Add the Templates to Your Current Theme**

After installing a Template from the Smind Library, you still need to add it manually to your **current theme’s template.**

* From **Settings** in Smind Sections app, scroll down to choose a theme to work on, you need to make sure that this theme is your current theme.

* Open Shopify → **Online Store → Themes → Customize.**
